Previous models of the Wired STRIKEPACK™ Dominator for PS4® can be updated to Firmware v3. New Experience M.O.D. instructions apply to these models exactly the same way, as they have the same 8 LEDs and support all of the new features & M.O.D.s.

These older models look very similar to CM00085, but they function differently when it comes to headset audio.

CM00083 & CM00082 **do not** work with your controller’s built-in 3.5mm port, and they also physically block access to it.

Instead, they include a built-in soundcard with a dedicated 3.5mm port. This allows <i class="fa-headset">:headset:</i> 3.5mm headset audio when using the older DualShock®4 CUH-ZCT1 model.

However, overall headset compatibility is dramatically lower (and we mean dramatically lower), and your controller’s built-in speaker cannot be used, since the PS4® console detects the device as a USB headset. Generally, you should never willingly choose a 83 or 82 over an 85.

Additionally, CM00082 features a much thinner USB Guide, which uses an exceptionally slim USB cable end to fit.
