To access Firmware v3, you must update the STRIKEPACK™ Dominator. And yes this is the case even if you've just unboxed it, just like it is with your gaming console and controller.

#### Open Google Chrome™

Using a non-iOS® device (PC, Mac®, Chromebook™, or Android®), open a compatible browser (Chrome™, Edge™, or Firefox®).

#### Navigate to the Web Update Tool

Go to [**firmware.modcentral.ca**](https://firmware.modcentral.ca)

#### Plug in the STRIKEPACK™

Connect the STRIKEPACK™ Dominator to the device you’re using to update. If it’s already attached to your controller, <img src="/files/WKxGM5nEvfMbZOqHLzmA" alt="" data-size="line"><mark style="color:$danger;">**hold**</mark> the **2 Paddles&#x20;**<mark style="color:$danger;">**together**</mark> while connecting to enter **Update Mode**.

#### Connect & Select the STRIKEPACK™

Select the on-screen **Connect** button. Select **Strike Pack** from the pop up list, and select the **Connect** button from there.

#### Check for New Firmware & Select Latest

Select **Check for New Firmware…** then select the **Latest: 3.0** to start the update. The tool will begin its **Programming Device, please wait**.

#### Wait for Completion <i class="fa-hourglass-half">:hourglass-half:</i>

Once the update is complete, if you let it finish its **Waiting for device…** the **Device Info** will reappear, confirming the STRIKEPACK™ firmware version. You can now safely unplug it.

#### Mapping / Restart Button

On the STRIKEPACK™ Dominator, the 2 unlabeled buttons which were previously used for direct mapping, now have distinct functionality, the **Mapping Mode** button & **Restart** button.

**As of Firmware v3**, STRIKEPACK™ Dominator now has a **Mapping Mode** similar to STRIKEPACK HORIZON™. This prevents accidental mapping.

* **Mapping Mode** button, located on the left-hand side, will enter **Mapping Mode**. <img src="/files/WKxGM5nEvfMbZOqHLzmA" alt="" data-size="line"><mark style="color:$danger;">**Hold**</mark> the **Mapping Mode** button for <mark style="color:$danger;">**500ms**</mark> to enter **Mapping Mode**. While <img src="/files/WKxGM5nEvfMbZOqHLzmA" alt="" data-size="line"><mark style="color:$danger;">**holding**</mark> a controller button, <img src="/files/FTIPMMo2lFVsDuBcyTX7" alt="" data-size="line">**tap** a **Paddle** to map that controller button to it. If you want to clear (unmap) a **Paddle**, <img src="/files/FTIPMMo2lFVsDuBcyTX7" alt="" data-size="line">**tap** it without holding a controller button. <img src="/files/FTIPMMo2lFVsDuBcyTX7" alt="" data-size="line">**Tap** either unlabeled button to exit Mapping Mode.
* **Restart** button, located on the right-hand side, is equivalent to unplugging & plugging the STRIKEPACK™ back in. <img src="/files/WKxGM5nEvfMbZOqHLzmA" alt="" data-size="line"><mark style="color:$danger;">**Hold**</mark> the **Restart** button for <mark style="color:$danger;">**500ms**</mark>, then release the button to restart the STRIKEPACK™. This will turn off your controller & restart the STRIKEPACK™ Dominator in **Tournament Mode**. <img src="/files/FTIPMMo2lFVsDuBcyTX7" alt="" data-size="line">**Press** the **Home&#x20;**<mark style="color:$info;">**(Xbox®)**</mark> button to turn your controller back on.
