From **Macro Editor**, using your STRIKEPACK™-enabled controller, you can record almost any small to medium-sized combination of buttons you can think of. **You can save one Macro to each Paddle**. Making complex button sequences more accessible to all, you can record at your own pace, and Macro timing can be edited afterwards.

Macro Editor is best set up while in-game, so you can record your actions in real-time.

**Checklist before entering Macro Editor**:

* [x] **Assigned Paddle:** At least one Paddle must be assigned to ![](/files/0ga1m5Re3HOARkPtD50Q) **Recorded Macro**.
* [x] **Position:** Open space where you can easily record your Macro without being interrupted by interactive objects.
* [x] **Take Notes:** Game version? Platform? In-game settings?

<h3 align="center"><strong>Delete Pre-existing Macro</strong></h3>

If you are looking to edit a pre-existing Macro, skip to [**Edit Pre-existing Macro**](#edit-pre-existing-macro). Otherwise, you can’t record a new Macro to this Paddle if one is currently saved to it. <img src="/files/WKxGM5nEvfMbZOqHLzmA" alt="" data-size="line"><mark style="color:$danger;">**Hold**</mark> <mark style="color:yellow;">**Y**</mark>**&#x20;**<mark style="color:$danger;">**for 500ms**</mark> to delete the pre-existing Macro first:

<h3 align="center"><strong>Enter Recording / Editing</strong></h3>

<h4 align="center"><img src="/files/FTIPMMo2lFVsDuBcyTX7" alt="" data-size="line"><strong>Tap</strong> <mark style="color:green;"><strong>A</strong></mark></h4>

<figure><img src="/files/GVw33geqJnLmogP88QZm" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

This will enter [**Recording**](#record-new-macro) (unless there is a pre-existing Macro on this Paddle, in which case it will enter [**Editing**](#edit-pre-existing-macro) instead).

{% endstep %}

{% step %}

<h3 align="center"><strong>Record New Macro</strong></h3>

1. Now that you've <img src="/files/FTIPMMo2lFVsDuBcyTX7" alt="" data-size="line">**pressed** <mark style="color:green;">**A**</mark>, recording is about to start. You'll feel quickened rumbles <img src="/files/SzZmfVqNkkDahtOVoueg" alt="" data-size="line"> until your first button press. To record your Macro, press any buttons, triggers, bumpers, or stick directions you want, in the sequence & timing you want them recorded:

<figure><img src="/files/gczRiQV7uzs4IoATORMb" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

{% hint style="danger" icon="gamepad-modern" %}
To conserve space & make recording viable, certain inputs are simplified during capture:

* **Analog Sticks** → Recorded as 8-way digital directions (Up, Down, Left, Right + diagonals).
* **Analog Triggers** → Recorded as fully pressed (100% input).
 {% endhint %}

2. Recording space is limited, and some actions consume more space than others. To indicate usage, the LEDs will gradually fill from off, to dim, to bright. This uses a tens (10's), ones (1's), and fifties (50's) system to indicate 1-100% of recording space used:

<figure><img src="/files/knmlukgdSOlTA9sSPeIl" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Values Each LED is Worth:
--------------------------------------------------------------
**Bright Fifty (50) = 50% Usage**
<mark style="color:$info;">**Dim Ten (10) = 10% Usage**</mark>
**Bright Ten (10) = 20% Usage**
<mark style="color:$info;">**Dim One (1) = 1% Usage**</mark>
**Bright One (1) = 2% Usage**

3. (Optional) It may be difficult to get your button presses right the first time. During recording, you can restart over to retry as needed. To do so, <img src="/files/WKxGM5nEvfMbZOqHLzmA" alt="" data-size="line"><mark style="color:$danger;">**hold the assigned Paddle for 500ms**</mark> (heavy rumble):

<figure><img src="/files/DE9S8YBNUlCwl9s7guhm" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

4. After your last button press, you'll typically want to cut the recording short & exit Macro Editor. To do so, **quickly** <img src="/files/FTIPMMo2lFVsDuBcyTX7" alt="" data-size="line">**tap & release the assigned Paddle** (heavy rumble):

<figure><img src="/files/EPD7c7RX0RZSsuaFTqUI" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Should you choose *not* to stop recording after your last button press, any remaining time will be recorded as idle time to be used in Macro playback.

When recording space for this Macro is full—just as the last LED is about to go bright—recording will immediately end & exit Macro Editor (heavy rumble).

<h3 align="center"><strong>Edit Existing Macro</strong></h3>

After recording your Macro, (or importing a .macrov3 in **Web M.O.D. Central**), you can re-enter Macro Editor to make changes. As before. This allows you to change the Macro & Interrupt type settings, but most importantly, you can edit Macro timings throughout to resolve poor timing or simply tighten your combo.

## Editing & Sharing Online

<figure><img src="/files/8WpTrC8AXmmcjL03Z9Zz" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

In [**M.O.D. CENTRAL WEB EDITION**](https://modcentral.collectivemindsstore.com/), you can access the **Macro Editor** user interface where you can further review your timings. You can also export & import .macrov3 files. These can be shared online with other STRIKEPACK™ Dominator & Eliminator users.

{% hint style="warning" icon="earth-americas" %}
When sharing exported .macrov3 files online, always share information about game version & platform and any in-game settings you used to make sure other users can achieve the same experience.
{% endhint %}
