# Firmware Update
For Xbox Series X|S® / Xbox One® / PC / Switch™

To access Firmware v3, you must update your STRIKEPACK™ Eliminator. And yes this is the case even if you just unboxed it, just like it is with your gaming console.

#### Open Google Chrome™
Using a non-iOS® device (PC, Mac®, Chromebook™, or Android®), open a compatible browser (Chrome™, Edge™, or Firefox®).

#### Navigate to M.O.D. CENTRAL WEB EDITION

#### Plug STRIKEPACK™ into Updater Device :computer:
Connect the STRIKEPACK™ Eliminator to the device you’re using to update. The update will generally go more smoothly if the adapter is ***NOT*** currently attached or connected to your controller.
**NOTE:** If you've already attached the STRIKEPACK™ to your controller, **hold** **Action Buttons 1 & 3 ****together** while connecting to enter **Update Mode**.
Select **Strike Pack Eliminator** from the pop up list, and select the **Connect** button from there.

#### Firmware Update Required
The STRIKEPACK™ is ready for the firmware update to 3.0.0+. Select the **Start Update** button to begin.

#### Wait for Update Complete! :hourglass-half:
**Please DO NOT disconnect the device during the update**!
Please wait for the **Update Complete!** message. Only then can you safely unplug the STRIKEPACK™ from your updater device :computer:.

#### Memory Clear
Because Firmware v3 is such a dramatic change from previous firmware versions, you should perform a Memory Clear at this point to avoid complications.
To Memory Clear, **hold** the **top 2 unlabeled buttons** while plugging in the STRIKEPACK™ Eliminator. All 8 STRIKEPACK™ LEDs will light up, holding there briefly to confirm a successful Memory Clear.

#### Mapping / Restart Button
On the STRIKEPACK™ Eliminator, the top 2 unlabeled buttons which were previously used for direct mapping, now have distinct functionality, the **Mapping Mode** button & **Restart** button.
**As of Firmware v3**, STRIKEPACK™ Eliminator now has a **Mapping Mode** similar to STRIKEPACK HORIZON™. This prevents accidental mapping.
* **Mapping Mode** button, located on the top-left-hand side, will enter **Mapping Mode**. **Hold** the **Mapping Mode** button for **500ms** to enter **Mapping Mode**. While **holding** a controller button, **tap** an **Action Button** to map that controller button to it. If you want to clear (unmap) an **Action Button**, **tap** it without holding a controller button. **Tap** either unlabeled button to exit Mapping Mode.
* **Restart** button, located on the top-right-hand side, is equivalent to unplugging & plugging the STRIKEPACK™ back in. **Hold** the **Restart** button for **500ms**, then release the button to restart the STRIKEPACK™ Eliminator. This will turn off your controller & restart the STRIKEPACK™ in **Tournament Mode**. **Press** **Home ****(Xbox® logo button)** to turn your controller back on.
