Los modelos anteriores del STRIKEPACK™ Dominator con cable para PS4® pueden actualizarse al firmware v3. Las instrucciones de New Experience M.O.D. se aplican a estos modelos exactamente de la misma manera, ya que tienen los mismos 8 LED y admiten todas las nuevas funciones y M.O.D.s.

Estos modelos antiguos se parecen mucho al CM00085, pero funcionan de manera diferente en lo que respecta al audio de los auriculares.

CM00083 y CM00082 **no** funcionan con el puerto integrado de 3,5 mm de su mando, y además bloquean físicamente el acceso al mismo.

En su lugar, incluyen una tarjeta de sonido integrada con un puerto dedicado de 3,5 mm. Esto permite <i class="fa-headset">:headset:</i> audio de auriculares de 3,5 mm cuando se usa el antiguo modelo DualShock®4 CUH-ZCT1.

Sin embargo, la compatibilidad general con auriculares es drásticamente menor (y queremos decir drásticamente menor), y el altavoz integrado de su mando no puede utilizarse, ya que la consola PS4® detecta el dispositivo como unos auriculares USB. Por lo general, nunca debería elegir voluntariamente un 83 o 82 en lugar de un 85.

Además, el CM00082 presenta una guía USB mucho más delgada, que utiliza un extremo de cable USB excepcionalmente fino para encajar.
