# Mapping on Controller

STRIKEPACK HORIZON™ gaming adapters!
This section explains how to access the STRIKEPACK HORIZON's **Mapping Mode** to map the **Action Buttons** (Paddles) directly through your controller. This is also the only way to map them in the default **Tournament Mode**.

Macros are disabled in **Tournament Mode**, making the STRIKEPACK HORIZON more suitable for strict competitive-like gameplay in this mode. It defaults to Tournament Mode whenever it is initially plugged in or restarted. In Tournament Mode, the STRIKEPACK is restricted to a single Action Button (Paddle) Mapping setup that can only be configured from your controller.

If however, you are in a GAMEPACK, or the new Tournament Studio GAMEPACK which contains more features than standard Tournament Mode, entering Mapping Mode will simply open that GAMEPACK Profile's specific Mapping Settings instead.

#### Enter Mapping Mode
Locate the **Mapping Mode** button—the unlabeled button on the left-hand side of your STRIKEPACK—enabled controller. **Hold** it until the STRIKEPACK LEDS turn **purple**, indicating you are in **Mapping Mode**.

#### Map a Controller Button to an Action Button
While **holding** any button on your controller, **tap** one of the four available **Action Buttons** (Paddles) to **map** to it. The LEDs will flash **green** to confirm a **successful mapping**.
As long as they are **held**** together**, up to four controller buttons can be mapped to a single Action Button (Paddle). Even stick direction can be mapped as simplified 8-way directional movement.

#### Unmap a Controller Button from an Action Button
To **unmap** an **Action Button** (Paddle**)**, **tap** it while you are **not** touching any controller buttons or sticks. The LEDs will flash **red** to confirm a **successful unmapping**.

#### Exit Mapping Mode
To save your changes and test your Paddle Button mapping, **tap** either the **Mapping Mode** or **Restart** button to **exit Mapping Mode**. This will return the STRIKEPACK LEDS to their previous status, confirming you have exited Mapping Mode.
